Keywords:geometriccorrection,satelliteimagery,controlpoint,imagedatabase,remotesensing 1.Introduction Satelliteimagesarewidelyusedinmanyfields,includingcartography,agriculture,andforestry,duetotheirwidecoverageandhighspatialresolution.However,geometricdistortionsintheseimagescansignificantlyaffecttheiraccuracyandusability.Geometriccorrectionalgorithmsaimtorectifythesedistortionsandprovideaccurateandreliableimagesforfurtheranalysis.Inthispaper,weproposeanapproachtogeometricallycorrectdomesticsatelliteimagesusingacontrolpointimagedatabase. 2.GeometricDistortionsinSatelliteImages Satelliteimagesmaysufferfromvariousgeometricdistortions,includingscale,rotation,translation,anddeformation.Thesedistortionsareoftencausedbyfactorssuchasspacecraftmotion,sensorerrors,andEarth'stopographicvariations.Geometriccorrectionalgorithmsaimtoeliminateorreducethesedistortionsbymathematicallymodelingtherelationshipbetweenthedistortedandundistortedimagecoordinates. 3.ControlPointImageDatabase Acontrolpointimagedatabaseisacollectionofaccuratelygeoreferencedpointsinanimage.Thesepointsserveasreferencelocationsforthegeometriccorrectionprocess.Controlpointsaretypicallyselectedfromgroundcontrolpoints(GCPs)surveyedonthegroundorotherhigh-accuracyreferencedata.Theuseofacontrolpointimagedatabasecansignificantlyimprovetheaccuracyandefficiencyofgeometriccorrection. 4
