Introduction Theimportanceoftelemetrydatainmissileflighttestingcannotbeoverstated.Telemetrydataistheprimarysourceofinformationaboutamissile’sperformanceduringtesting.Thisdataisusedtoevaluatethemissile’sflightcharacteristics,determinetheeffectsofvarioustestconditions,andidentifyanypotentialissueswiththemissile’sguidancesystem.Inordertocollecttelemetrydata,adataacquisitionsystemmustbeinstalledonthemissile.However,installingatraditionaldataacquisitionsystemcanbebothcostlyandtime-consuming. Thepurposeofthispaperistopresentalow-cost,highlyportabletelemetrydataacquisitionsystemdesignedspecificallyformissileflighttesting.Thissystemutilizesanembeddedmicrocontrollertoacquiredataandtransmititinreal-timeviaaUSBconnection.Thesystemhasbeendesignedtobeeasilyinstalledonanymissileortestarticleandiscapableofaccuratelyacquiringallrelevanttelemetrydata.
