Introduction: Caststeelwheelsarevitalcomponentsintherailwayindustry,andtheirqualitydirectlyaffectsthesafetyandperformanceoftrains.Traditionalmeasurementmethodsforcaststeelwheelsinvolvemanualmeasurementwithcalipers,whicharetime-consumingandpronetohumanerrors.Toaddresstheselimitations,theproposedtechniqueutilizesmultiplelinelasersensorsmountedonarotatingscanningdevicetoobtainprecisethree-dimensionalmeasurementsofcaststeelwheels. Methodology: 1.LineLaserSensorAssembly:Thesystemcomprisesmultiplelinelasersensorsevenlydistributedalongaring-shapedmechanismmountedonthescanningdevice.Theselinelasersensorsemitlaserlinesontothesurfaceofthewheelfromdifferentangles,allowingforthecaptureofacomprehensive3Dpointcloudofthewheel'ssurface. 2.RotationalScanning:Thescanningdeviceisdesignedtorotatethewheelcontinuouslywhilethelinelasersensorscapturethereflectedlaserlines.Therotationalmovementensuresthattheentiresurfaceofthewheelisscanned,resultinginacompleteandaccuraterepresentationofthewheel'sgeometry. 3.DataAcquisition:Thelinelasersensorscapturethereflectedlaserlines,andthepositionsoftheselinesonthewheel'ssurfacearerecorded.Thesepositionmeasurementsareconvertedintothree-dimensionalcoordinatesusingtheknownpositionsofthelinelasersensorsandthetrigonometricrelationshipbetweenthelaserlinesandthewheel'ssurface. 4.SensorCalibration:Toensuremeasurementaccuracy,acalibrationprocessisperformedbeforehandtodeter
