Introduction: Theaccessibilityandqualityofgroundwaterarecrucialforsustainingecosystemsandmeetingtheincreasingdemandsofhumanpopulations.Mountainousregionsoftenfaceuniqueenvironmentalchallenges,asthecomplextopographyandgeologicalformationscaninfluencetheflowandtransportofpollutantsinundergroundwatersources.Inthisstudy,aregioncharacterizedbytheregenerationofcopperwaschosentoinvestigatethepollutionofgroundwaterresources.VisualModflow,awidelyusedsoftwarepackage,wasemployedforsimulatingthemovementofcontaminantsinthesubsurface. Methodology: VisualModflowisacomprehensivemodelingtoolthatemploysfinitedifferencemethodstosimulatetheflowofgroundwaterandthetransportofcontaminants.Themodelingprocessinvolvesthecreationofaconceptualmodel,calibrationofparameters,andsimulationofscenariostoassesstheeffectsofpollutantsourcesonundergroundwaterquality.
