Introduction: Structuralhealthmonitoringisofparamountimportancetoensurethesafetyandintegrityofengineeringstructures.Cracks,asoneofthemostprevalentformsofdamage,canunderminethestructuralrobustnessandleadtocatastrophicfailuresifundetectedornotwellunderstood.Analyzingthevibrationbehaviorofcrackedbeamsiscrucialforstructuralevaluationanddamagedetection.Moreover,consideringtherotationalmotioneffect,whichisfrequentlyencounteredinreal-lifescenarios,addscomplexitytotheproblemandrequiresamorecomprehensiveresearchapproach. Methodology: Toinvestigatethetransversevibrationcharacteristicsofacrackedbeamwiththerotationalmotioneffect,anumericalanalysisapproachisemployed.Theanalysisisconductedusingthefiniteelementmethod(FEM),whichaccuratelyrepresentsthemechanicalbehaviorofthebeam.Additionally,therotationalmotioneffectissimulatedbyapplyingarotationaldisplacementtothebeam'sboundarynodes.Differentcrackconfigurationsandsizesareconsideredtostudytheirinfluenceonthevibrationcharacteristics.
