吉林省经济增长与城市建设用地扩张脱钩关系研究(英文) StudyontheDecouplingRelationshipbetweenEconomicGrowthandUrbanConstructionLandExpansioninJilinProvince,China Abstract: Inrecentdecades,JilinProvincehaswitnessedrapideconomicgrowthandextensiveurbandevelopment.However,thishasalsobroughtaboutsignificantenvironmentalandresourcechallenges.ThisstudyexaminestherelationshipbetweeneconomicgrowthandurbanconstructionlandexpansioninJilinProvince,withafocusonexploringthepotentialdecouplingbetweenthetwo.Byanalyzingrelevantdataandemployingvariousresearchmethods,thestudyaimstoprovideinsightsandrecommendationsforsustainabledevelopmentintheregion. 1.Introduction Rapidurbanizationandeconomicgrowthhavebecomecommonfeaturesofmanydevelopingcountries,includingChina.Alongwiththebenefitsbroughtbyurbandevelopment,therearealsonegativeimpacts,suchasresourcedepletion,environmentaldegradation,andenergyconsumption.Therefore,itiscrucialtoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweeneconomicgrowthandurbanconstructionlandexpansiontopromotesustainabledevelopment. 2.LiteratureReview Previousresearchindicatesthateconomicgrowthoftenleadstoincreaseddemandforurbanconstructionland.However,somestudiesalsosuggestthepossibilityofdecouplingeconomicgrowthfromlandexpansionthroughimprovedlanduseefficiencyandpolicymeasures.Thesestudiesprovideatheoreticalfoundationforourinvestigation. 3.Methodology Thisstudyadoptsaquantitativeresearchapproach.Basedondatacollectedfromvarioussourcessuchasstatisticalyearbooks,landuseplans,andeconomicreports,weemploytheland-economicintensityindex(LEII)tomeasuretherelationshipbetweeneconomicgrowthandurbanconstructionlandexpansion.TheLEIIconsidersbotheconomicoutputandlanduse,allowingustoevaluatetheefficiencyoflandutilizationandidentifypotentialdecouplingtrends. 4.Findings TheanalysisshowsthattherehasbeenasignificantincreaseineconomicoutputandurbanconstructionlandexpansioninJilinProvinceoverthepastfewdecades.However,whenexaminingtheLEII,wefindanencouragingdecouplingtrendbetweeneconomicgrowthandlandexpansion,indicatingthatthep
