Introduction: Soilorganiccarbon(SOC)isanessentialcomponentofsoilhealthandcriticallyinfluencesvariousbiogeochemicalprocessesinforestecosystems.Itdirectlyaffectsnutrientavailability,waterretention,andoverallsoilfertility.IdentifyingtheenvironmentalfactorsthatinfluenceSOCdensityiskeytounderstandingecosystemcarbondynamics.TheFuniuMountainForest,locatedincentralChina,isacriticalforestecosystemthatsupportsdiversefloraandfauna.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecorrelationbetweenSOCdensityandenvironmentalfactorsinthisregion. Methods: 1.StudyArea:TheFuniuMountainForest,characterizedbyitshighbiodiversityanduneventerrain,wasselectedasthestudyarea. 2.SoilSampling:Randomsoilsampleswerecollectedfromdifferentelevations,slopes,andvegetationtypeswithintheforest.Multiplesamplesweretakenateachsitetoobtainrepresentativevalues. 3.SOCAnalysis:SoilsampleswereprocessedinthelaboratorytodetermineSOCdensityusingestablishedmethodssuchasloss-on-ignitionordrycombustion. 4.EnvironmentalFactors:Variousenvironmentalfactorsincludingelevation,slope,vegetationtype,soilpH,temperature,precipitation,etc.,wererecordedateachsamplingsiteforcorrelationanalysis. 5.StatisticalAnalysis:CorrelationanalysisandregressionmodelingwereperformedtoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweenSOCdensityandenvironmentalfactors.
