Introduction TheEPCprojectdeliverymodelisapopularoptionintheOilandGasindustry.EPCcontractsinvolvethecombinedservicesofengineering,procurement,andconstruction.Thismodelhasseveralbenefits,includingcostandschedulecontrol,enhancedqualitycontrol,andreducedrisks.EPCprojectsrequirecarefulmanagementofdesign,procurement,andconstructiontoensurethattheyarecompletedsuccessfully.CostcontrolisasignificantfactorinthesuccessofanyEPCproject.ThispaperexaminesthemethodsofcostcontrolthatcanbeimplementedtoensurethesuccessofEPCprojects. CostControlMeasuresinEPCContracts ToachieveeffectivecostcontrolinEPCcontracts,projectownerstypicallyenforcethefollowingmeasures: 1.DetailedCostEstimation:PrecisecostestimationisessentialinEPCprojects.Ownersrequirecontractorstoprovidedetailedcostestimateswithbackupdocumentationtoensurethattheestimateisaccurate.DetailedcostestimationisthefoundationofcostcontrolinEPCprojects. 2.FixedPriceContracts:Fixed-pricecontractsensurethatcontractorsarecommittedtocompletingtheprojectwithinbudget.Thistypeofcontractrequirescontractorstoabsorbanycostoverruns. 3.ChangeOrderManagement:Changeordersareaninherentpartofanyconstructionproject,andtheycansignificantlyimpactprojectcosts.Ownersmustmanagechangeorderseffectivelybyensuringthateachchangeisassessedforcostimpactandapprovedbeforeimplementation. 4.ScheduleManagement:On-timecompletioniscriticalinEPCprojects,andschedulemanagementiscrucialto
