Introduction: Pilesarestructuralmembersdesignedtotransfertheloadsofastructurethroughsoilorrocklayerstoadeeper,strongerstratum.Inengineeringpractice,usingpilesasfoundationsisbecomingmorepopular.Thepilesworkwiththesoilasasystem.Therefore,thesoilconditionplaysasignificantroleintheloadtransfermechanismofthepiles.Thedynamicresponseofpilesisacrucialfactorinthedesignofthepilefoundation,especiallyinareaswithactiveearthquakes.Theaimofthisstudyistoanalyzethedynamicresponseofgrouppilesinalayeredsemi-spacesoilundersaturatedconditions. Methodology: Toanalyzethedynamicresponseofgrouppilesinalayeredsemi-spacesoilundersaturatedconditions,thefiniteelementmethod(FEM)wasused.TheFEMisaneffectiveandwidelyusedmethodforanalyzingdynamicandstaticresponsesofstructuresandsoil-structureinteractions.ThecommercialsoftwarepackageABAQUSwasusedfordynamicanalysis.Atwo-dimensional(2D)semi-spacemodelwasconsideredinthisstudy.
