南京市路面雨水径流汞Hg污染特性研究(英文) StudyonMercury(Hg)PollutionCharacteristicsinSurfaceRunoffinNanjingCity Abstract Mercury(Hg)isatoxicheavymetalthatposesamajorthreattohumanhealthandtheenvironment.ThisstudyfocusedonthepollutioncharacteristicsofHginsurfacerunoffinNanjingCity.TheresultsshowedthattheaverageconcentrationofHginsurfacerunoffwas2.28ng/L,witharangeof0.32-11.76ng/L.Thehighestconcentrationwasfoundinthecommercialdistrict,followedbytheindustrialdistrict,andthentheresidentialdistrict.ThetotalHgloadinsurfacerunoffwasestimatedtobe2.98kg/year. Introduction Mercuryisatoxicheavymetalthatposesasignificantrisktohumanhealthandtheenvironment.Itcanaccumulateinaquaticecosystemsandcanbeconvertedintotoxicformssuchasmethyl-mercury,whichcanbebiomagnifiedinthefoodchain,resultinginserioushealtheffectsonhumansandwildlife.Inrecentyears,studieshaveshownthatHgpollutioninurbanrunoffhasbecomeaseriousenvironmentalproblem.However,thereislimitedinformationonthepollutioncharacteristicsofHginsurfacerunoffinNanjingCity.Therefore,thisstudyaimedtoexaminethepollutioncharacteristicsofHginsurfacerunoffindifferenturbanareasofNanjingCity. MaterialsandMethods Surficialwatersampleswerecollectedfromthreeurbanareas,namely,acommercialarea,anindustrialareaandaresidentialarea,inNanjingCity,duringtherainyseason.Intotal,36surfacerunoffsampleswerecollectedandanalyzedforHgconcentration.Thesampleswerecollectedusingagrabsamplingtechniqueandstoredinpolyethylenebottlesforlaboratoryanalysis.TheHgconcentrationwasmeasuredusinganatomicfluorescencespectrophotometer(AFS-230,BeijingTitanInstrumentsCo.,Ltd). ResultsandDiscussion TheresultsshowedthatthemeanconcentrationofHginsurfacerunoffwas2.28ng/L,withtherangeof0.32-11.76ng/L.Thehighestconcentrationwasfoundinthecommercialdistrict,4.83ng/L,followedbytheindustrialdistrict,2.93ng/L,andthentheresidentialdistrict,1.15ng/L.TheMann-WhitneyUtestshowedthatthereweresignificantdifferencesinHgconcentrationsamongtheurbanareas(p<0.05).ThismaybeduetothedifferentsourcesofHgpollutioninthedifferentu
