Firstly,thetraditionalteachingmethodofpharmaceuticalengineeringneedstobeimproved.Thetraditionalteachingmethodismainlybasedonlectures,withlittlepracticalteachingandpracticalexperienceforstudents.Inordertoimprovethepracticalskillsofstudents,itisnecessarytointroducemorepracticalprojectsandexperimentsintheclassroom.Forexample,studentscanbetrainedtodesign,simulateandoptimizepharmaceuticalprocessesusingcomputersoftwaresuchasAspenPlus.Inadditiontothesepracticalcourses,interactionsandcollaborationswithpharmaceuticalcompaniescanalsobeencouraged,whichwillgivestudentsmoreopportunitiestounderstandtheindustry. Secondly,thecurriculumofpharmaceuticalengineeringcanbediversified.Thecurrentcurriculumofpharmaceuticalengineeringmainlyfocusesonchemicalengineeringandpharmaceuticalformulation,butignoresotherdisciplinessuchasbiology,pharmacology,andmedicalsciences.Therefore,itisnecessarytobroadenthescopeofthecurriculumandintegratemultidisciplinaryknowledgeintopharmaceuticalengineeringcourses.Thiswillnotonlyprovidestudentswithamorecomprehensiveunderstandingofthepharmaceuticalindustry,butalsoenablethemtotacklethechallengesofemergingtechnologies.
