DesignMethod TheWienbridgeoscillatorisatypeofoscillatorthatcanproducealowfrequencysinusoidalwave.Itsfundamentalcircuitcomprisesofanamplifier,afeedbacknetworkconsistingoftwocapacitorsandtworesistors,andabridgenetworkconsistingoftworesistorsandacapacitor.Thecircuitisdesignedsuchthatthefrequencyofoscillationisdeterminedbythevaluesoftheresistorsandcapacitorsinthefeedbackandbridgenetworks. ThefirststepindesigningaWienbridgeoscillatorcircuitistoselecttheamplifier.Inthiscase,aunity-gainoperationalamplifier(OpAmp)isused.TheOpAmpprovidesthenecessarygaintosustaintheoscillationofthecircuit.ApopularchoiceistheLM741,whichisreadilyavailableandhasgoodperformancecharacteristics.
