EPDMTPI并用胶性能研究 Abstract TheaimofthisstudywastoinvestigatetheadhesivepropertiesofEPDM/TPIcompositesandtheirpotentialapplications.ThestudyinvolvedthepreparationofcompositesbymixingEPDMandTPIandusingdifferentadhesivesystems.Theadhesivepropertiesofthecompositeswereassessedusingdifferenttestsincludingpeelresistance,shearresistanceandtensilestrength.TheresultsofthestudyshowedthattheEPDM/TPIcompositeshadgoodadhesivepropertiesandcouldbeusedinarangeofapplications. Introduction EthylenePropyleneDieneMonomer(EPDM)isawidelyusedelastomerduetoitsexcellentproperties,includinghighresistancetoweathering,ageing,andozone.ThermoplasticPolyimide(TPI)isahigh-performanceengineeringplasticwithhigh-temperatureresistance,excellentmechanicalpropertiesandchemicalresistance.EPDM/TPIcompositeshavebeengainingattentionduetotheirpotentialforuseinarangeofindustrialapplications. Oneoftheimportantpropertiesofcompositematerialsistheiradhesion.Adhesionistheabilityoftwomaterialstosticktogetherusinganadhesive.Theadhesivepropertiesofcompositesdeterminetheirperformanceandapplication.Inthisstudy,weinvestigatedtheadhesivepropertiesofEPDM/TPIcompositesandtheeffectofdifferentadhesivesontheirperformance. MaterialsandMethods EPDMandTPIwereusedasthebasematerialsforthecomposites.TheEPDMusedinthestudywasacommercialgradematerialwithaMooneyviscosityof45.TheTPIusedinthestudywasahigh-performanceengineeringplasticwithaglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)of290°C.ThecompositeswerepreparedbymixingtheEPDMandTPIusingatwin-screwextruder.Threedifferentadhesivesystemswereusedtopreparethecomposites:areactiveadhesive,asolvent-basedadhesiveandawater-basedadhesive.
