AnalysisofFaultCauses: 500kVhigh-voltageparallelreactorhasalargecapacityandisgenerallyusedinthefieldofhigh-voltagetransmissionanddistribution.Itismainlyusedtoreducetheovervoltageofthesystemandimprovethestabilityofthesystem.However,inpracticalapplications,thereareoftenvariousfaults.Throughtheanalysisofpracticalfaultcases,wecanfindthatcommonfaultsaremainlydividedintothefollowingcategories: (1)MechanicalFaults:Theshellorleadsofthereactoraredamaged,andtheinsulationofthewindingisreduced,whichmayleadtoinsulationbreakdown. (2)OvervoltageFaults:Whenthesystemoperatesneartheresonantfrequency,thevoltageatbothendsofthereactorwillincreasegreatly,causingproblemssuchasinsulationbreakdown. (3)OvercurrentFaults:Whenthesystemfailsoroverloads,thecurrentthroughthereactorwillincreasegreatly,causingthewindingtooverheatandtheinsulationtobedamaged. (4)ContaminationFaults:Duringoperation,dustormoisturemayenterthereactor,causinginsulationperformancetodeclineandevenleadingtoabreakdown. (5)ConnectionFaults:Theconnectionbetweenthereactorandthesystemispoor,resultinginabnormaloperationofthesystem,andevendamagetothereactor.
