Methodology: Toinvestigatetheeffectsofcommutingcostsonresidents'relocationintentions,amixed-methodsapproachwillbeused.Initially,aquantitativesurveywillbeconductedtocollectdataonresidents'perceptionsofcommutingcostsandtheirrelocationintentions.ThesurveywilltargetadiversesampleofresidentsresidinginvariousdistrictsofBeijing,ensuringrepresentationacrossdifferentincomelevelsanddemographiccharacteristics. Thequantitativesurveywillbecomplementedwithqualitativeinterviewstogainadeeperunderstandingofthereasonsbehindresidents'relocationintentionsandtheirperceptionsofthemetrofareadjustment.Purposefulsamplingwillbeemployedtoselectasubsetofsurveyrespondentsforinterviews,ensuringarangeofperspectivesandexperiences. DataAnalysis: Thequantitativesurveydatawillbeanalyzedusingstatisticaltechniquessuchasregressionanalysistoexaminetherelationshipbetweencommutingcostsandrelocationintentions.Factorssuchasincome,distancetoworkplace,andaccesstoalternativetransportationoptionswillbeincludedascontrolvariablestoaccountforotherpotentialinfluencesonresidents'relocationdecisions. Thequalitativeinterviewdatawillbeanalyzedthematically,identifyingkeyrecurringthemesandpatternsinresidents'narratives.Thisanalysiswillprovideinsightsintothespecificwaysinwhichcommutingcosts,influencedbythemetrofareadjustment,affectresidents'relocationintentions.
