绿萝对富营养化水体的净化研究 Introduction Waterpollutionhasbecomeamajorenvironmentalconcerninrecentyears,duetotherapidgrowthofpopulation,industrialization,andurbanization.Nutrientpollutionisoneofthemostsignificantformsofwaterpollutionthataffectsaquaticecosystems.Eutrophicationisaprocessthatoccurswhenwaterbodiesreceiveexcessiveamountsofnutrients,leadingtotheproliferationofalgaeandotheraquaticplants.Thisresultsinareductioninwaterqualityandoxygenlevels,whichcanhavenegativeimpactsonaquaticlifeandhumanhealth.Therefore,itisessentialtodevelopeffectivemethodsofwaterpurificationtoreducenutrientpollution.Onesuchmethodistheuseofaquaticplants,suchasthegreenvelvetplant(Philodendronscandensoxycardium),oravarietyofotheraquaticplants. Thegreenvelvetplant,alsoknownastheDevil’sIvyortheMoneyPlant,isapopularhouseplantduetoitsabilitytogrowinlowlightconditionsanditseaseofcare.However,recentstudieshaveshownthattheplantisalsoeffectiveinremovingpollutantsfromwater,includingnutrientssuchasnitrogenandphosphorus. MechanismofNutrientUptakebyPlants Plantsuseavarietyofmechanismstouptakenutrientsfromsoilorwater.Rootsabsorbnutrientsthroughtheprocessofionexchange,wherepositivelyandnegativelychargedatomsormoleculesareexchangedbetweentheplantandthesurroundingenvironment.Additionally,plantsexcreteorganicacids,whichhelpsolubilizemineralsandfurtherenhancenutrientuptake.Inaquaticplants,nutrientsareabsorbedthroughleavesandroots.Leavesarecoveredwithathinlayerofwax,whichpreventsdirectcontactwithwater;instead,thenutrientsareabsorbedthroughthethinlayerviastomataorpores.Additionally,aquaticplantscanuptakenutrientsthroughtheirrootsystems.Insubmergedplants,therootsgrowoutofthesoiltoabsorbnutrientsfromthewatercolumn. GreenVelvetPlantasanEffectiveNutrientAbsorber Thegreenvelvetplanthasbeenshowntoremovenutrientssuchasnitrogenandphosphorusfromwaterefficiently.InastudyconductedbyresearchersattheUniversityofFlorida,greenvelvetplantsweregrowninahydroponicsystemwithnutrient-enrichedwater.Overaperiodofsixweeks,theplantsexhibitedrapidgr
