Keywords:KuqaDepression,BashijiqikeFormation,tightsandstone,diagenesis,fluidevolution 1.INTRODUCTION TheKuqaDepressionintheTarimBasinisanimportanthydrocarbon-bearingarea.TheBashijiqikeFormation,depositedduringtheCretaceousperiod,isoneofthesignificantreservoirsinthisregion.However,duetothetightnatureofitssandstone,thereservoirqualityishighlyvariable,posingchallengesforhydrocarbonexplorationandproduction.Understandingthediageneticprocessesandfluidevolutionofthistightsandstonereservoiriscrucialforpredictingreservoirqualityandoptimizingproduction. 2.METHODOLOGY Fieldobservations,coredataanalysis,andpetrographicanalysiswereconductedtoinvestigatethediageneticprocessesandfluidevolutionoftheBashijiqikeFormationtightsandstone.Fieldobservationsincludedtheexaminationofoutcropsandcollectionofrocksamples.Coredataanalysisinvolvedtheexaminationofwelllogs,lithologicaldescriptions,andporosity-permeabilityanalysis.Petrographicanalysisincludedthin-sectionobservations,X-raydiffractionanalysis,andscanningelectronmicroscopy. 3.DIAGENETICPROCESSES MultiplediageneticprocesseshavebeenidentifiedintheBashijiqikeFormationtightsandstone.Theseincludecompaction,cementation,authigenicmineralprecipitation,anddissolution.Compactionhasledtothereductionofprimaryporosity,whilecementationhasfilledtheremainingporespaceswithauthigenicminerals,reducingpermeability.Authigenicmineralprecipitation,suchascalcite,kaolinite,andillite,hasalsocontributedtoporosityreductionandincrease
