基于SPEI指数的近53年河南省干旱时空变化特征(英文) Introduction: TheSPEI(StandardizedPrecipitationEvapotranspirationIndex)isawidelyuseddroughtindexthattakesintoaccountbothprecipitationandtemperature.Inrecentyears,ithasbecomeincreasinglyimportanttostudydroughtpatternsandtrends,particularlyinregionsthatrelyheavilyonagriculturefortheireconomy.ThispaperwillfocusonthespatialandtemporalvariationofdroughtinHenanProvince,China,usingtheSPEIindex. Methodology: Monthlytemperatureandprecipitationdatafortheperiodof1965to2017wereobtainedfromtheChinaMeteorologicalDataSharingServiceSystem.TheSPEIindexwasthencalculatedusingthesedata,usingtheRsoftware.TheSPEIvalueswereclassifiedintofivecategories,rangingfromseverelywettoseverelydry,toevaluatetheoveralldroughtcondition. Results: TheresultsshowedthattheannualSPEIvaluesinHenanProvinceexhibitedadecreasingtrendoverthestudyperiod,indicatingatrendtowardsmorefrequentandseveredroughts.Thespatialpatternindicatedthatthesoutheastandcenteroftheprovinceexperiencedmorefrequentandseveredroughts,whilethenorthandwestoftheprovincehadrelativelylessdroughtoccurrences.ThemonthsofJune,July,August,andSeptemberwereidentifiedasthemonthswiththemostseveredroughts,whichisthecriticalperiodforcropproductioninHenan. Conclusion: TheresultsofthisstudyshowedthattheSPEIindexisapowerfultoolforassessingdroughtseverityandtrendsinHenanProvince.ThedecreasingtrendinannualSPEIvaluesindicatesthattheriskofdroughtisincreasing,whichcouldleadtosevereconsequencesforagricultureandwaterresources.Therefore,thereisaneedforpolicymakerstoimplementdroughtmanagementstrategiestoreducethevulnerabilityoftheagriculturalsectortodrought.Thesestrategiescouldincludepromotingwater-savingtechnologiesandpractices,developingdrought-resistantcropvarieties,andimprovingwaterstorageandmanagementinfrastructure. Inconclusion,thisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintothespatialandtemporalvariationofdroughtinHenanProvince,China.Italsohighlightstheimportanceofdroughtmonitoringandmanagementtoensuresustainableagriculturaldevelopmentandwat
