Introduction: Folicacid,alsoknownasvitaminB9,playsacrucialroleinthesynthesisandrepairofDNA,aswellasincelldivisionandgrowth.Itisespeciallyimportantforwomenofchildbearingage,asitisessentialforproperfetaldevelopment.Cornleaves,abyproductofcorncultivation,havebeenidentifiedasapotentialsourceoffolicacid.Efficientextractionoffolicacidfromcornleavesisofgreatsignificanceforthedevelopmentoffunctionalfoodproductsandnutraceuticals.However,thetraditionalextractionmethodsofteninvolvelengthyextractiontimes,highsolventconsumption,andlowyield.Therefore,itisnecessarytooptimizetheextractionprocesstoenhancetheefficiencyandyieldoffolicacidextraction. Methods: Inthisstudy,athree-levelBBDwasemployedtooptimizethefolicacidextractionprocessfromcornleaves.Theindependentvariablesofextractiontime(X₁),extractiontemperature(X₂),andsolvent-to-solidratio(X₃)wereselectedbasedonpreviousstudiesandpreliminaryexperiments.Thelevelsofeachvariableweresetaslow(-1),medium(0),andhigh(+1),respectively.Thedependentvariable,folicacidyield(Y),wasmeasuredusinghigh-performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC).
