1．which引导的定语从句
在which引导的定语从句中，关系代词which指物，在从句中作主语或宾语。如：
DoyouknowthebookwhichLuXunwrote?你知道那本鲁迅写的书吗？(which作宾语)
Hefeiisacitywhichhasmanyplacesofinterest.合肥是一座有着许多名胜古迹的城市。(which作主语)
2．who引导的定语从句
在who引导的定语从句中，关系代词who指人，在从句中作主语，作动词宾语时常用whom，且常常省略。在现代英语和口语中也可用who代替whom作宾语。如：
Themanwhoistalkingwithmyfatherismyteacher.正在和我爸爸说话的那个男人是我的老师。(who作主语)
Thegirlwho/whomyoumetyesterdayismysister.你昨天遇到的那个女孩是我的妹妹。(who/whom作宾语)
3．关系代词作介词的宾语时，介词的前移问题
(1)关系代词作介词的宾语时，介词既可置于句中的原来位置，也可前移。介词前移时，只能置于关系代词which(指物)和whom(指人)之前，不能置于that和who之前。如：
TheroominwhichIlivedisverybig.我住的那个房间很大。
(2)固定的动词短语中的介词不可前移。如：
Thebookwhichyouarelookingforisunderthedesk.你正在找的那本书在桌子下面。
4．引导词的省略
一般情况下，that，which，who在定语从句中作主语时不可省略，作宾语时可以省略。如：
Iknowthemanwhoisplayingbasketball.我认识那个正在打篮球的人。(who作主语，不可以省略)
