Introduction: TheBeltandRoadInitiative,proposedbyChinesePresidentXiJinpingin2013,aimstoenhanceconnectivityandpromoteeconomiccooperationamongcountriesalongtheancientSilkRoad.Asoneofthecountriesparticipatingintheinitiative,BruneihasbeenactivelyinvolvedinpromotingtradeandinvestmentwithChina.ThisstudywillutilizethegravitymodeltoanalyzethetraderelationshipbetweenChinaandBrunei,consideringvariousfactorsthatinfluencetradeflows. LiteratureReview: Thegravitymodel,initiallyproposedbyeconomistsTinbergenandPöyhönen,suggeststhatthevolumeoftradebetweentwocountriesisproportionaltotheireconomicsizesandinverselyrelatedtotheirdistancefromeachother.Manystudieshavesuccessfullyappliedthegravitymodeltoanalyzetraderelationships,providingvaluableinsightsintotradepatternsandtheeffectivenessofpolicyinterventions. Methodology: ThisstudywillemploythegravitymodelframeworktoanalyzethetraderelationshipbetweenChinaandBrunei.Themodelwillincorporatevariablessuchasthegrossdomesticproduct(GDP)ofbothcountries,geographicaldistance,andtradebarriers.Thedatausedforanalysiswillbecollectedfromrelevantinternationalorganizationsanddatabases.
