Introduction: Solidpropellantsarecommonlyusedinvariousaerospaceapplicationsduetotheirhighenergydensityandstability.ETPEpropellant,atypeofsolidpropellantwithextendedtemperaturerangeperformanceandenhancedmechanicalproperties,hasrecentlygainedattentioninthefield.TheapparentviscosityofETPEpropellantplaysacrucialroleindeterminingitsflowbehaviorduringhandling,manufacturing,andignitionprocesses.Understandingtheapparentviscositycharacteristicsofthispropellantisessentialforitsformulationandoptimization. ExperimentalMethodology: ToinvestigatetheapparentviscosityofETPEpropellant,weconductedaseriesofexperimentsusingarotationalviscometer.ABrookfieldviscometerequippedwithacoaxialcylindergeometrywasutilizedforthispurpose.Theexperimentalsetupallowedustomeasuretheapparentviscosityatdifferentshearratesandtemperatures.ETPEpropellantsampleswerepreparedwithvaryingformulations,takingintoaccountdifferentadditives,binders,andoxidizers,toencompassawiderrangeofpropellantproperties. ResultsandDiscussion: TheexperimentalresultsrevealedvaluableinsightsintotheapparentviscositybehaviorofETPEpropellant.Atlowshearrates,theviscositywasfoundtoberelativelyhigh,indicatingahighresistancetoflow.Astheshearrateincreased,theapparentviscositydecreased,suggestingshear-thinningbehavior.Thischaracteristicisdesirableinpropellantsasitallowsforeasierprocessingduringmanufacturingandenhancesthepropellant'sperformanceduringcombustion.
