Introduction: Inrecentyears,vocationaleducationhasgainedsignificantattentioninChinaasitprovidesstudentswithpracticalskillsthatmeetthedemandsofthejobmarket.However,Englisheducationinvocationalschools,especiallytheteachingoforalskills,isoftenneglectedduetovariousreasons,suchasinsufficientEnglishproficiencyofteachersandlimitedclasshours.ThispaperintendstoaddressthisissueandprovidepracticalsuggestionsforimprovingEnglishoralteachingforvocationalnon-Englishmajors. 1.TheImportanceofEnglishOralSkills: Englishoralskillsareessentialforvocationalnon-Englishmajorsastheyplayacrucialroleintheirfuturecareers.EffectivecommunicationinEnglishisessentialforglobalbusiness,tourism,customerservice,andmanyotherprofessions.ByimprovingEnglishoralskills,studentscanenhancetheiremployabilityandseizeopportunitiesinanincreasinglycompetitivejobmarket. 2.UnderstandingtheNeedsandCharacteristicsofNon-EnglishMajors: Non-EnglishmajorsinvocationalschoolshaveuniqueneedsandcharacteristicsthataffecttheirEnglishlearningprocess.MostofthemlackmotivationandhavelimitedexposuretoauthenticEnglishmaterials.Additionally,theirlimitedEnglishproficiencyandfearofmakingmistakesmayhindertheirprogress.Therefore,teachersshouldfindwaystoengageandmotivatestudents,providepracticalandrelevantcontent,andcreateasupportivelearningenvironment. 3.IncorporatingTask-BasedLearning: Task-basedlearning(TBL)isalearner-centeredapproachthatpromotesactivestudentparticipationandcommunication.TBLfocusesonreal-lifetasksandsituations,whichallowsstudentstopract
