脂联素在NSCLC组织中的表达及其与MMP-9及血管生成的关系 Introduction Non-smallcelllungcancer(NSCLC)isamajortypeoflungcancer,accountingforapproximately85%ofalllungcancercases.Despiteadvancesindiagnosisandtreatment,theoverallprognosisforNSCLCpatientsremainspoor,withlowsurvivalrates.Therefore,understandingtheunderlyingmechanismsofNSCLCprogressionandidentifyingbiomarkersforearlydiagnosis,prognosisassessmentandtherapeutictargetsareneeded. Adiponectin,alsoknownasadipocytecomplement-relatedproteinof30kDa(Acrp30),isahormonesecretedbyadiposetissue.Adiponectinplaysanimportantroleinregulatingglucoseandlipidmetabolism,insulinsensitivity,inflammation,andcardiovascularfunction.Recentstudieshavesuggestedthatadiponectinmayalsoplayaroleincancerdevelopmentandprogression.AdiponectinexertsitseffectsthroughitsreceptorsAdipoR1andAdipoR2,whichareexpressedinvarioustissues,includingNSCLCtissues. Matrixmetalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)isamemberofthematrixmetalloproteinasefamilyofenzymesthatplayaroleinextracellularmatrixremodeling,tissuerepair,andcancerinvasion.OverexpressionofMMP-9hasbeenobservedinvarioustypesofcancer,includinglungcancer.MMP-9hasbeenshowntopromotetumorprogressionbyfacilitatingcancercellmigration,invasion,andangiogenesis. Angiogenesis,theprocessofnewbloodvesselformation,playsacriticalroleintumorgrowthandmetastasis.Vascularendothelialgrowthfactor(VEGF)isamajorregulatorofangiogenesisandisoverexpressedinvarioustypesofcancer,includingNSCLC. Inthisstudy,weinvestigatedtheexpressionofadiponectin,MMP-9,andVEGFinNSCLCtissuesandtheirrelationshipwithangiogenesis. Methods Tissuesampleswereobtainedfrom40patientsdiagnosedwithNSCLCwhounderwentsurgeryatourhospitalbetweenJanuary2017andDecember2018.Theexpressionlevelsofadiponectin,MMP-9,andVEGFweredetectedbyimmunohistochemistry.Themicrovesseldensity(MVD)wasdeterminedbyimmunostainingwithanti-CD34antibody.Thecorrelationbetweentheexpressionlevelsofadiponectin,MMP-9,andVEGFandMVDwasanalyzed.
