Methods: Theexperimentutilizedisolatedratheartssubjectedtoastandardmodelofischemia-reperfusioninjury.Theheartsweredividedintofourgroups:control,SCpre-treatment,SApost-treatment,andcombinedSCpre-treatmentwithSApost-treatment.Theheartsweresubjectedto30minutesofischemiafollowedby60minutesofreperfusion.Functionalparameterssuchasleftventriculardevelopedpressure(LVDP),heartrate(HR),andrate-pressureproduct(RPP)wererecorded.Biomarkersofoxidativestress,suchasmalondialdehyde(MDA)andcatalaseactivity,weremeasured.Additionally,markersofinflammation,includingtumornecrosisfactor-alpha(TNF-α)andinterleukin-6(IL-6),wereevaluated.
