浅谈技工院校英语教学中人文关怀的缺失和对策 Title:TheLackofHumanisticCareinEnglishTeachinginVocationalSchoolsandItsCountermeasures Introduction: Inrecentyears,vocationalschoolshaveplayedacrucialroleinprovidingskilledworkersforvariousindustries.However,thefocusontechnicalskillssometimesleadstotheneglectofthedevelopmentofwell-roundedindividuals.ThisisespeciallyevidentinthefieldofEnglishteaching,wherethelackofhumanisticcareposessignificantchallenges.Inthispaper,wewillexaminethereasonsbehindthelackofhumanisticcareinEnglishteachinginvocationalschoolsandproposepotentialcountermeasures. I.ReasonsfortheLackofHumanisticCareinEnglishTeaching: 1.EmphasisonTechnicalSkills:Vocationalschoolsprimarilyfocusonequippingstudentswithpracticalskillsthatmeetindustrydemands.Asaresult,thepromotionofsoftskills,includinglanguageproficiencyandhumanisticvalues,becomessecondary. 2.InadequateTrainingforEnglishTeachers:Englishteachersinvocationalschoolsmaylackthenecessarytrainingandguidancetoincorporatehumanisticcareintotheirteaching.Theirfocusisoftenlimitedtolanguageinstruction,neglectingthebroadercontextofthesubject. 3.LimitedResourcesandFacilities:Vocationalschoolsmaystrugglewithresourceconstraints,includingoutdatedteachingmaterialsandinsufficientclassroomfacilities.Consequently,Englishlessonscanbecomesolelyfocusedonrepetitiveexercisesratherthanimmersivelanguagelearningexperiences. II.EffectsoftheLackofHumanisticCareinEnglishTeaching: 1.LimitedLanguageProficiency:Withoutahumanisticapproach,studentsmaystruggletodevelopadeeperunderstandingoftheEnglishlanguagebeyondbasicvocabularyandgrammar.ThislimitstheirfuturecommunicationabilitiesinEnglish-speakingenvironments. 2.StuntedPersonalandCulturalDevelopment:Englishlearningshouldserveasabridgeforstudentstoconnectwithdifferentculturesandperspectives.However,withoutthecultivationofhumanisticvalues,studentsmissoutontheopportunitytobroadentheirhorizonsanddevelopempathy. 3.ReducedEmployability:Intoday'sglobalizedworld,employersincreasinglyvalueemployeeswithstrongcommunicationsk
