基于表面等离子体的慢光研究 Introduction Surfaceplasmonpolaritons(SPPs)areelectromagneticwavesthatinteractwiththeinterfacebetweenaconductingmaterialandadielectricmaterial.Surfaceplasmonpolaritonsareatypeofslowlight,whichmeansthattheypropagateataslowerspeedthanlightinfreespace.Thestudyofsurfaceplasmonpolaritonshasledtonumerousapplicationsinphotonics,includingbiosensing,imaging,andenergyharvesting.Thispaperaimstoreviewrecentadvancesinthestudyofslowlightbasedonsurfaceplasmonpolaritons. PrinciplesofSurfacePlasmonPolaritons Surfaceplasmonpolaritonsareelectromagneticwavesthatarelocalizedattheinterfacebetweenametalandadielectricmaterial.ThepropagationofSPPsisstronglydependentonthegeometryandmaterialpropertiesoftheinterface.SPPscanbeexcitedbyabeamoflightthatisincidentontheinterfaceataspecificangle,knownastheresonanceangle.Theresonanceangleisdeterminedbytherefractiveindicesofthemetalanddielectricmaterials,aswellasthewavelengthoftheincidentlight. OneofthekeypropertiesofSPPsistheirabilitytoconfinelighttothenanoscale.BecauseSPPsarelocalizedattheinterface,theycaninteractwithmoleculesornanoparticlesthatareplacedonthesurface.ThismakesSPPshighlyattractiveforapplicationsinbiosensing,wheretheycanbeusedtodetectspecificmoleculesbymeasuringchangesintheSPPresonance. AnotherimportantpropertyofSPPsistheirabilitytopropagateoverlongdistancesalongtheinterface.ThispropertyisrelatedtotheslowspeedofSPPs,whichresultsinalongerinteractiontimewiththeinterface.ThelongpropagationlengthofSPPsisusefulforapplicationsinenergyharvesting,wheretheycanbeusedtocapturelightandconvertitintoelectricalenergy.
