Cluster-BasedRoutingProtocols Cluster-basedroutingprotocolsdividethenetworkintoclusters,andasingleclusterhead(CH)isresponsibleformanagingthecommunicationwithinthecluster.Cluster-basedroutingprotocolscansignificantlyreducethenumberoftransmissions,therebyconservingenergy. EnergyandDensity-BasedClustering Energyanddensity-basedclusteringisatechniquefordividingthenetworkintoclustersbasedonnodes'remainingenergyanddensity.Inthistechnique,nodesaregroupedintoclustersbasedontheirenergylevelanddensity.Nodeswithhigherenergylevelsareselectedasclusterheads,andnodeswithlowerenergylevelsareassignedasclustermembers.Thisapproachcanbalancetheenergyconsumptionamongnodesandprolongthenetworklifetime.
