[INTRODUCTION] Inrecentyears,GPStechnologyhasgraduallybecomeamainstreamtechnologyinvariousapplicationareas,andthelivestockindustryisnoexception.Withthegrowthofthelivestockindustry,thedemandforGPS-basedlivestocklocationsystemsalsoincreases.Inresponsetomarketneeds,aGPS-basedlivestocklocationsystemhasbeendeveloped,aimedatprovidinglivestockfarmownerswithanefficientmanagementsolutionthattracksandmonitorsthelocationsofanimals. [DESIGN] Thelivestocklocationsystemcomprisesthreeparts:aGPStrackerthatisfittedontotheanimal,abasestationthatreceivesandprocessesthelocationinformation,andaplatformthatprovidestheuserinterface,displayinganimallocationinformationthroughawebportalormobileapplication. TheGPStrackeriscompactandlightweight,attachedtotheanimal’scollarorimplantedundertheskin.TheGPStrackerreportstheanimal'slocationperiodically,whichisthentransmittedtothebasestation. ThebasestationreceivesGPSsignalstransmittedbythetracker,processesthelocationdatainreal-time,andstoresitinadatabaseforlateranalysis.Ittransmitstheprocesseddatatothecloud-basedplatform,whichprovidescomprehensivevisualizationsoftheanimallocations,representedthroughinteractivemapsanddashboardthathighlightspecificanimalmovements. [FUNCTION] TheGPS-basedlivestocklocationsystemprovidesvaluableinsightsintotheanimal’sdailyactivities,includingfeeding,walking,resting,andmore.Mappingouttheseactivitiesallowsforpersonalizedmanagementoffeedingandgrazingpatterns,whichhelpspreventover-grazing,andensurestheanimalsarefedregularly.Thishelpsinoptimizingtheanimal'sdiet,andthegrazingland,makingsuretheanimalsarenotoverfed.
