FormsofTeacherFeedback TeacherfeedbackcantakedifferentformsinjuniorhighEnglishwriting.Themostcommonformsarewrittenfeedback,oralfeedback,andpeerfeedback.Writtenfeedbackconsistsofcommentswrittendirectlyonthestudent'scomposition.Thesecommentshighlighterrors,areasofimprovement,andprovidesuggestionsforthestudent.Oralfeedbackisgiveninperson,wheretheteacherdiscussesthestudent'scompositionandprovidesfeedbackonareasofimprovement.Peerfeedbackisfeedbackgivenbyotherstudents,wheretheyrevieweachother'scompositionsandprovidesuggestionsforimprovement. EffectivenessofFeedbackClarity Theclarityoffeedbackisanessentialcomponentintheeffectivenessofteacherfeedback.Iffeedbackisunclearanddifficulttounderstand,studentsarelikelytofeeldemotivatedandmaynotmakeanysignificantchangesintheirwriting.Therefore,clarityenablesstudentstounderstandtheirmistakesandhowtocorrectthem.Whenfeedbackisclear,studentscaneasilyidentifytheirstrengthsandareasthatstillneedimprovement,leadingtoimprovedperformance. Feedbackcanbemadeclearerbyincorporatingspecificcommentsonthestudent'scomposition.Specificcommentsidentifymistakesandgivesuggestionsforimprovement,thusgivingthestudentaclearunderstandingofwhattheyneedtodotoimprovetheirwriting.Forexample,ifastudent'scompositionhasseveralspellingmistakes,theteachercanprovidespecificfeedbackonthewordsthatarespelledincorrectly,andhowtocorrectlyspellthem,thustakingaproactivea
