Introduction: Pulsedneutronfullspectrumloggingtechnologyiswidelyusedintheoilandgasexplorationandproductionindustry.Itcanprovidevariousinformationoftheformation,suchasporosity,lithology,formationfluidtype,andsaturation.Amongthem,carbon-oxygenloggingdatacanreflectthecarbonandoxygencontentintheformation.TheapplicationofthistechnologywasstudiedinthecalciumsandstonereservoirofNanpu. GeologicalBackground: NanpuoilfieldislocatedinthenortheastBohaiBayBasin,withanaveragewaterdepthof20-25meters.Thereservoirsaredividedintothreelevelsfromtoptobottom:argillaceoussiltstone,calciumsandstone,andgypsiferoussiltstone.Thecalciumsandstonelayeristhemainreservoir,withhighporosityandpermeability,andgoodphysicalpropertiesoftheformation.Thecarbonatecontentintheformationisanessentialfactoraffectingthereservoirproperties,especiallytheporestructure,porosity,andpermeabilityoftheformation.Therefore,thecontentofcarbonandoxygenintheformationisofgreatsignificancefortheevaluationanddevelopmentofthereservoir. LoggingDataInterpretation: Accordingtothecharacteristicsoftheformation,theloggingdataareinterpretedbyusingthemulti-parametersimultaneousinversionmethod.Theresistivity,neutron,density,andgammaraylogsarecalibratedandtheformationparameterssuchasporosity,watersaturation,permeability,andlithologyarecalculated.Thecarbonandoxygencontentintheformationiscalculatedbyusingthecarbon-oxygenloggingdata. Thecarbon-oxygenloggingdataisobtainedfromtheneutronspectrumofpulsedneutronlogging.Thecarbonandoxygenelementshavedifferentresponsestotheneutron,andbyanalyzingthespectralchangesoftheneutronresponse,thecontentratioofcarbonandoxygencanbeobtained.Thecalculationformulaisasfollows: CO_ratio=(C_n/(O_n+C_n))*100% (C_nrepresentsthecarboncounts,O_nrepresentstheoxygencounts) Calculation
