ChallengesinImplementingtheModernApprenticeshipSystem 1.Lackofindustrycollaboration:Thesuccessofthemodernapprenticeshipsystemheavilyreliesontheactiveparticipationandcollaborationofindustries.Yet,manycompaniesmaynotfullyunderstandthebenefitsoftakingonapprenticesorlackthewillingnesstoinvesttimeandresourcesintheirtraining. 2.Limitednumberofavailableapprenticeshippositions:Despitethegrowingdemandforapprenticeshippositions,manyhighervocationalcollegesstruggletosecureasufficientnumberofplacementsforallinterestedstudentsduetolimitationsinthecapacityandwillingnessofpartneringcompanies. 3.Difficultyinbalancingtheoryandpractice:Highervocationalcollegesmuststrikeadelicatebalancebetweentheoreticalclassroominstructionandpracticalon-the-jobtraining.Thisrequireseffectivecoordinationbetweenacademicdepartmentsandpartnercompaniestoensurestudentsreceivecomprehensiveandsystematictraining.
