TheKBmirror,alsoknownastheKirkpatrick-Baezmirror,hasbeenwidelyusedinX-raysynchrotronradiationbeamlinesforfocusingX-raybeams.Itsuniquedesignandadjustableparametersmakeitanexcellentchoiceforbeamprofilemeasurements.Bycarefullyadjustingthemirrorparameters,theKBmirrorsystemcanmeasureawiderangeofbeamsizesandprovidehigh-resolutionbeamprofiledata. 2.KBMirrorPrinciple TheKBmirrorconsistsofapairoforthogonalcurvedmirrors,eachwithacylindricalsurface.Thefirstmirror(M1)focusesthebeamhorizontally,whilethesecondmirror(M2)focusesthebeamvertically.Byappropriatelyadjustingthemirrorseparationandcurvatures,theKBmirrorsystemcanproduceafocusedandmagnifiedbeamprofileonadownstreamdetector.
