Methodology: Thisstudyutilizedamixed-methodsapproach,combiningqualitativeandquantitativedatacollectionmethods.Aquestionnairesurveywasadministeredtoasampleofhighschoolstudents,whileinterviewswithteachersandstudentswereconductedtogatherqualitativeinsights.Thesamplesizeconsistedof200highschoolstudentsfromdifferentschoolsandgradelevels. Results: 1.CurrentUseofReadingStrategies: Thesurveyresultsindicatedthatamajorityofhighschoolstudentsareawareofreadingstrategies,buttheiractualapplicationislimited.Merely40%oftherespondentsindicatedusingstrategiesconsistentlywhilereadingEnglishtexts.Themostfrequentlyusedstrategiesincludedskimming,scanning,andguessingmeaningfromcontext.However,strategiessuchasmakingpredictions,summarizing,andaskingquestionswerelesscommonlyemployed. 2.FactorsInfluencingReadingStrategyApplication: Severalfactorswereidentifiedasinfluencingtheapplicationofreadingstrategiesamonghighschoolstudents: a)Lackofawareness:Asignificantnumberofstudentslackknowledgeofdifferentreadingstrategiesandtheirpurpose. b)Insufficienttraining:Manystudentsreportednotreceivingsufficientguidanceonhowtoeffectivelyutilizereadingstrategies.Teachersoftenfocusmoreoncontentratherthanteachingreadingskills. c)Limitedmotivation:StudentsexpressedalackofinterestinreadingEnglishtexts,resultinginalackofmotivationtoapplyreadingstrategies. d)Timeconstraints:Studentsfeltoverwhelmedwithhighacademicworkloadande
