跨文化视角下福建小吃名称的翻译研究

FujianislocatedinthesoutheasternChina,Fujianbecomesthefamousdieteticculturecirclebyitssuperiorgeographicallocationandclimateinfluence,whichgivesbirthtotheoneoftheeightcuisinesofFujiancuisineandtheFujiansnacksthatisfamousathomeandabroad.Fujiansnackshavealonghistory,awidevariety,anduniquetaste,tostandoutfromallthelocalsnacks,therearealotofpeopletofavoritetheFujiansnack.WiththeincreasinglycloseexchangesbetweenChinaandforeigncountries,moreandmorepeoplecometoChinatoinvest,travelandstudy.Inordertomakeforeignfriendstoenjoythedelicacyfoodandtounderstandthespecialsnackandtheconnotationoflocalculture,itisimportanttoprovideareasonabletranslationforthesnacks.
However,thenameofFujiansnacksisrichandcolorful,andsomearefullofdeepculturalconnotation,whichbringgreatdifficultytothetranslationwork.Inthetranslationprocess,oncethetranslationofsnacknameisimproperthatwilloftenmakesforeignersandtheEnglishloverofChinesepeopletopuzzle.Atpresent,thereislittleresearchonthetranslationofthesnackname.InordertounderstandthespecificsituationofEnglishtranslationofFujiansnack.ThepaperthroughstudytheFujiansnackandanalyzethecaseofthetranslationofFujiansnack,tryingtopracticeinEnglishtranslationofFujianspecialsnacksfromthecross-culturalperspective,tofindouttheproblemsofEnglishtranslationandcausesforEnglishtranslationofFujiansnacknamesbycollectingalargenumberoftranslationexamples,aimingattheproblemsofthetranslationofFujiansnackname,andputsforwardthestandardizedtranslationstrategies,inordertoimprovethetranslationqualityofFujiansnacknameandprovideareferencetothetranslationofotherregionalspecialsnack,sothatmakeforeignfriendscanunderstandFujiansnacksandthecultureinbetterandcarriedforward.
