大亚湾乏燃料中微子能谱计算研究 Introduction Neutrinos,whicharewaywardparticlesthatonlyinteractthroughtheweakforce,havelongbeenstudiedfortheirenigmaticnatureandstrangebehavior.Oneofthemostsignificantapplicationsofstudyingneutrinosistheiruseasatoolfordetectingnuclearreactors,astheycanbeusedtomonitornuclearactivityinareactor.However,inordertodothis,onemustaccuratelyunderstandtheenergyspectrumofneutrinosthatareemittedfromnuclearreactors.OnesuchreactorthathasbeencloselystudiedistheDayaBaynuclearpowerplant,locatedinChina.ThispaperaimstoexplorethecalculationandresearchoftheenergyspectrumofneutrinosemittedfromtheDayaBaynuclearpowerplant. Background Nuclearreactorsproducealargenumberofdifferenttypesofparticlesandenergyduringtheirprocesses,includingneutrinos.Theseneutrinosareproducedduringbeta-decay,whichisaprocesswhereaneutroninanatomisconvertedintoaproton,andanelectronandanelectronantineutrinoareemitted.InthecaseoftheDayaBayreactorplant,theseneutrinosareemittedintheformofantineutrinos,whicharecapableoftravelinglargedistanceswithoutbeingabsorbedbymatter. Inordertobeabletodetecttheseneutrinos,researchersmustfirstunderstandtheenergyspectrumoftheantineutrinosthatareemittedfromthereactor.Thisenergyspectrumiscalculatedbyanalyzingtheenergyreleaseduringthebetadecayprocess.Thetotalenergyoftheantineutrinoiscalculatedbysubtractingthemassoftheproductnucleifromthemassoftheparentnucleus,andthensubtractingthekineticenergyoftheelectron.Byunderstandingtheenergyspectrumoftheantineutrinosemittedfromthereactor,researcherscanbetterunderstandthenuclearprocessestakingplacewithinthereactor.
