Introduction Theintegrationofrenewableenergysourcesintothepowergridhassignificantlyincreasedinrecentyears.Amongtheseresources,windpowerisplayingasignificantroleinthetransitiontowardsagreenerandsustainablefuture.Inthewindpowersector,doubly-fedinductiongenerators(DFIG)arewidelyusedinlarge-scalewindfarmsduetotheirhighefficiencyandcost-effectiveness.However,theintegrationofthesewindfarmscanhaveasignificantimpactontheconventionalpowersystem,particularlyonthetransmissionlinerelayprotection.
