通过图片和开放性问题让学生针对生活现状谈论关于如何显得美丽和保持健康。充分培养学生运用语言交际的能力和自主学习能力，调动他们学习英语的积极性和创造性。进而引出本单元的话题——气色好，感觉好。通过问题的设置检验学生对文章细节以及文中各角色的观点行为的理解，通过小组活动要求学生就某一问题提出看法并展开讨论，然后仿照范例进行会话练习。
