Methods: ThecorrosionbehaviorofzincinducedbySRBinaneutralanaerobicenvironmentcanbeinvestigatedusingacombinationoftechniquesincludingelectrochemicalmeasurements,surfaceanalysis,andmicrobialcharacterization.Thefollowingexperimentalsetupandprocedurescanbeadopted: 1.PreparationofTestEnvironment: a.Createaneutralanaerobicenvironmentusingsuitabletechniques,suchasoxygenpurgeandnitrogenblanketing. b.Maintainaconstanttemperaturethroughouttheexperimenttosimulaterealisticconditions. 2.BacterialCultureandInoculation: a.ObtainapurecultureofSRBfromareliablesource. b.PrepareasuitablegrowthmediumtosupportthegrowthandproliferationofSRB. c.InoculatethegrowthmediumwithSRBcultureandincubateunderappropriateconditionstoreachthedesiredcelldensity. 3.ElectrochemicalMeasurements: a.Utilizepotentiodynamicpolarizationandelectrochemicalimpedancespectroscopytechniquestomonitorthecorrosionbehaviorofzinc. b.Measureandrecordtheopen-circuitpotential(OCP),corrosionpotential(Ecorr),corrosioncurrent(Icorr),andpolarizationresistance(Rp)ofzincinthepresenceandabsenceofSRB. c.Performelectrochemicalmeasurementsperiodicallytoinvestigatethetime-dependentcorrosionbehavior. 4.SurfaceAnalysis: a.Afterthedesiredexposuretime,removethecorrodedzincsamplesfromthetestenvironment. b.Analyzethesurfacemorphologyandeleme
