Introduction: Thedetectionandmeasurementofcracksinrailwaybridgesisessential,ascrackscansignificantlyimpactthestructuralintegrityandsafetyofthebridges.Earlydetectionandaccuratemeasurementofcracksarevitalforeffectivemaintenanceandrepair.Traditionalcrackmeasurementmethodsinvolvevisualinspectionanddirectmeasurementusingrulersorotherhandheldtools.Thesemethodsarelabor-intensive,time-consuming,andoftenpronetoerror. Inrecentyears,computervisionandimageanalysistechniqueshaveshowngreatpotentialincrackdetectionandmeasurement.Variousalgorithmsandmethodshavebeendevelopedtoautomatetheprocessandenhancetheaccuracy.Inthispaper,weproposeanewmethodforlinearcracklengthmeasurementinrailwaybridgesbasedoncalibrationpointsfitting.
