Introduction: Theice-boundperiodposesseveralchallengestothephytoplanktoncommunityinlakeecosystems,suchasreducedlightavailability,limitednutrientsupply,andlowtemperatures.Thesefactorscansignificantlyaffectthediversity,abundance,andcompositionofphytoplanktoncommunities.Understandingthesefactorsandtheirinfluencesonthephytoplanktoncommunityduringthisperiodiscrucialforevaluatingtheecosystemhealthanddevelopingeffectivemanagementstrategies. Methods: ThestudyareaconsistedofseveralrepresentativelakesinthearidzoneoftheYellowRiverBasin.Watersampleswerecollectedduringtheice-boundperiod,andphytoplanktoncommunitieswereassessedusingmicroscopyandmoleculartechniques.Environmentalparametersincludingwatertemperature,nutrientconcentrations,andlightavailabilitywerealsomeasured.Statisticalanalysessuchasmultivariateanalysisandcorrelationanalysiswereperformedtoidentifytherelationshipsbetweenphytoplanktoncommunitystructureandenvironmentalfactors. Results: Preliminaryresultsrevealedthatthephytoplanktoncommunityduringtheice-boundperiodinthearidzoneoftheYellowRiverBasinexhibitedspecificstructuralcharacteristics.Thedominanttaxaweretypicallycold-adaptedspecies,suchasdiatomsandgreenalgae.Theabundanceanddiversityofthephytoplanktoncommunityweresignificantlyinfluencedbyseveralkeyenvironmentalfactors,incl
