Introduction: Fe-basedamorphouscompositecoatingshavegainedsignificantattentionduetotheirexceptionalmechanical,thermal,andcorrosionresistanceproperties.Thesecoatingspossessgreatpotentialforapplicationsinvariousindustries,suchasaerospace,automotive,andmarinesectors.However,thereisstillalackofcomprehensiveunderstandingofthewearandcorrosionmechanismsaffectingthesecoatings.Thisstudyaimstobridgethisknowledgegapandprovideinsightsintothedegradationmechanisms. Methodology: TheexperimentalstudyinvolvesthedepositionofFe-basedamorphouscompositecoatingsusingplasmaspraytechnology.Thecoatingsaredepositedonvarioussubstratestosimulatedifferentindustry-specificapplications.Themicrostructureofthecoatingsisanalyzedusingscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),energy-dispersivespectroscopy(EDS),andX-raydiffraction(XRD).Thewearresistanceofthecoatingsisevaluatedthroughslidingandabrasivetests,whichsimulatereal-lifewearconditionsindifferentindustrysectors.Additionally,thecorrosionbehaviorofthecoatingsisstudiedusingpotentiodynamicpolarizationandelectrochemicalimpedancespectroscopy(EIS)techniques. ResultsandDiscussion: ThemicrostructuralanalysisrevealsahomogeneousandamorphousstructureoftheFe-basedcompositecoatings.Thecoatingsexhibitgoodadhesiontothesubstratesanddemonstrateadenseanddefect-freemicrostructure,whichcontributetotheirexceptionalmechanicalproperties.Theslidingandabrasivetestsrevealthatthecoatingsdisplaysuperiorwearresistancecomparedtoconvent
