Introduction: Roller-compactedconcrete(RCC)damshaveemergedasacost-effectivealternativetoconventionalconcretedams.Thesedamsareconstructedbycompactingamixtureofaggregate,cement,andwaterwiththehelpofheavyrollers.AlthoughRCCdamsofferseveraladvantages,suchasrapidconstructionandreducedenvironmentalimpacts,monitoringtheirperformanceandsafetythroughouttheirservicelifeisessentialtoensuretheirlong-termstructuralintegrity. 1.MaterialPropertiesandConstructionTechniques: ThesuccessfuloperationofaRCCdamlargelydependsonthechoiceofmaterialsandconstructiontechniques.Researcheffortshavefocusedondeterminingtheoptimalmixdesign,evaluatingtherheologicalproperties,andexaminingthelong-termdurabilityofRCC.Additionally,studieshaveinvestigatedtheinfluenceofconstructiontechniques,includingcompactionmethods,layerthicknesses,andcuringconditions,onthemechanicalperformanceofRCCdams. 2.StructuralHealthMonitoring: Structuralhealthmonitoring(SHM)systemshavegainedsignificantattentionasefficienttoolsforassessingtheperformanceandsafetyofcivilstructures.ResearchershavedevelopedvariousSHMtechniquestomonitorthestructuralhealthofRCCdamsinreal-time.Thesetechniquesincludevibration-basedmethods,acousticemission,fiberopticsensors,andwirelesssensornetworks.Continuousmonitoringofdeformation,cracking,andcorrosioncanprovideearlywarningsofpotentialstructuralissuesandenabletimelymaintenanceinterventions. 3.EnvironmentalMonitoring: ThebehaviorofRCCdamsisstronglyinfluencedbythesurroundingenvironment,includingtemperature,humidity,andw
