Introduction: PVCresinisawidelyusedthermoplasticmaterialduetoitsflexibility,durability,andlowcost.However,theinherentbrittlenessandlimitedmechanicalstrengthofPVCresinrestrictitsapplicationsincertainindustries.ToimprovethemechanicalpropertiesofPVCresin,variousfillershavebeenintroducedintothecompositematerial.Amongthesefillers,woodflourholdspromiseduetoitsavailability,sustainability,anddesirablemechanicalproperties.Therefore,thisstudyfocusesoninvestigatingtheincorporationofwoodflourasafillerinPVCresincomposites. Methods: Thewoodflourusedinthisstudywasobtainedfrom[source].ThePVCresinwasmixedwithvaryingweightpercentagesofwoodflour,rangingfrom0%to30%.Themixingprocesswascarriedoutusinga[specificequipment].Theobtainedmixtureswerethensubjectedtoacompoundingprocessatelevatedtemperatures.Thecompositesampleswerepreparedusingahot-pressmethod,followedbycuttingintostandardspecimensformechanicaltesting.Thecompositeswereevaluatedfortheirtensilestrength,flexuralstrength,impactstrength,andhardnesspropertiesusingstandardizedtestingprocedures.
