Introduction: TiB2,aceramicmaterialwithremarkableproperties,hasfoundextensiveuseinvariousindustrialapplications.Itpossessesexceptionalhardness,wearresistance,highmeltingpoint,andchemicalstability,makingitsuitableforprotectivecoatingsoncriticalcomponentssubjectedtosevereoperatingconditions.Theatmosphericplasmaspraytechnique,knownforitscost-effectiveandversatilenature,hasbeenutilizedtodepositTiB2coatingsduetoitsabilitytoproducehighlydenseandhigh-qualitycoatings. MicrostructuralAnalysis: Themicrostructuralanalysisaimstoinvestigatethemorphology,grainsize,porosity,anddistributionofphaseswithintheAPSTiB2coatings.Scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)canprovidedetailedinformationaboutthesurfacemorphologyandmicrostructure.Energy-dispersiveX-rayspectroscopy(EDS)canbeusedtoanalyzetheelementalcomposition,whileX-raydiffraction(XRD)candeterminethephasecompositionandcrystalstructureofthecoatings. PhaseIdentification: TheXRDanalysisenablestheidentificationofdifferentphasespresentintheTiB2coatings.TiB2isknowntoexhibitahexagonalcrystalstructure,andanyadditionalphasesformedduringdepositionorthermalexposurecanbeidentifiedthroughXRDanalysis.Thepresenceofimpuritiesorsecondaryphasescansignificantlyaffecttheperformanceofthecoatings,makingthisanalysiscrucialforunderstandingtheirstructuralstability. MechanicalProperties: ThemechanicalpropertiesoftheAPSTiB2coatings,suchashardness,adhesionstrength,andwearresistance,arefundamentalforevaluatingtheirperformance.Nanoindentationandmicrohardnesste
