Preparationmethods: 1.Electrospinning: Electrospinningisawidelyusedtechniqueforfabricatingmicro/nano-fibrousmembranes.Itinvolvestheuseofhighvoltagetogenerateanelectricallychargedjetofpolymersolutionormelt,whichisthencollectedontoarotatingdrumorflatcollector.Bymodifyingthecollectordesignorusingmultiplecollectors,aJanusstructurecanbeachievedonthefibersurface.Forexample,adual-spinneretelectrospinningsetupcanbeusedtodepositdifferentmaterialssimultaneously,formingJanusfiberswithdistinctpropertiesonbothsides. 2.Template-assistedmethods: Template-assistedmethodsinvolvetheuseoftemplatesormoldstoguidethedepositionofmaterialsontospecificregionsofthefibrousmembrane.Onesuchmethodisthecolloidallithographytechnique,wheremonolayersofcolloidalparticlesareself-assembledonthesubstratesurfacebeforeelectrospinning.Theparticlesactasamask,preventingmaterialdepositionintheareastheycover.Afterelectrospinning,theparticlescanberemoved,leavingbehindaJanusfibrousmembranewithdifferentsurfaceproperties. 3.Selectivesurfacemodification: Selectivesurfacemodificationtechniquesinvolvethemodificationofonlyonesideofthefibrousmembranewhileleavingtheothersideintact.Thiscanbeachievedthroughvariousmethods,suchaschemicalvapordeposition,plasmatreatment,ordirectinkjetprinting.Forexample,inkjetprintingoffunctionalmaterialsontothesurfaceofafibrousmembranecancreateaJanusstructurewithdifferentfunctionalitiesoneachside.
