Introduction Prestressedanchorcablesarewidelyusedincivilengineeringprojectssuchasbridges,dams,andtallbuildingsduetotheirhighstrengthanddurability.However,theinternalstateofprestressedanchorcables,whichiscriticalfortheirperformanceandsafety,istraditionallydifficulttomonitor.Conventionalinspectionmethodssuchasvisualinspectionandultrasonictestingarelimitedbytheiraccessibilityandaccuracy.Therefore,itisnecessarytodevelopamoreefficientandreliablemonitoringstructureforprestressedanchorcables. Themonitoringofprestressedanchorcablecanprovideimportantdataabouttheanchorcable'sinternalstate,includingthecable'stension,corrosion,ordamage.Theinformationcollectedcanbeusedforearlywarning,regularmaintenance,andevaluationoftheservicelifeoftheanchorcables.Inthispaper,thedesign,implementation,andtestingofanewinternalmonitoringstructureforprestressedanchorcablesarepresented.
