Theintegrationofspeedlimitcontrolandentrancerampcontrolcanhelpreducetheoccurrenceofcongestion,increasecapacityutilization,andimprovetrafficsafety.Traditionalcontrolmethods,suchasproportional-integral-derivative(PID)control,lacktheabilitytohandleuncertaintiesanddisturbancesintrafficflow.Therefore,amorerobustcontrolapproachisneededtoaddressthecomplexanddynamicnatureofexpresswaytraffic.
