西南喀斯特典型坡地土壤有机碳库特征及碳同位素组成 Abstract Soilorganiccarbon(SOC)playsacriticalroleinregulatingtheglobalcarboncycleandtheclimatesystem.InthekarstregionsofSouthwestChina,theSOCpoolinslopinglandsisoneofthemostimportantcarbonreservoirs.However,littleattentionhasbeenpaidtothecharacteristicandcarbonisotopiccompositionoftheSOCpoolinthisarea.Inthisreview,wepresentanoverviewofthecharacteristicsoftheSOCpoolintypicalslopinglandsofkarstregionsinSouthwestChina,includingSOCcontent,bulkdensity,particlesizedistribution,andcarbonisotopiccomposition.TheresultsshowthattheSOCpoolhasahighspatialvariability,andthedominantfactorscontrollingtheSOCaccumulationaresoilproperties,vegetationcover,andlandusepatterns.Additionally,theSOCpoolinkarstareasissignificantlyaffectedbyhumanactivities,suchasland-usechange,vegetationrestoration,andsoilerosioncontrol.ThecarbonisotopiccompositionoftheSOCpoolismainlyinfluencedbythesourcesoforganicmatter,thedecompositionprocess,andthefractionationbymicrobialactivities.However,furtherresearchisneededtoelucidatetheunderlyingmechanismsandtoprovidemoreaccurateestimationsoftheSOCpoolinkarstregions. Introduction Soilorganiccarbon(SOC)isthelargestterrestrialcarbonpoolandplaysacrucialroleinregulatingtheglobalcarboncycleandtheclimatesystem(Batjes,2014).TheSOCpoolisaffectedbyvariousfactors,includingclimate,landuse,vegetationcover,soilproperties,andhumanactivities(Huangetal.,2016).ThekarstareasofSouthwestChina,whichaccountforabout12%ofthetotallandarea,areoneofthemostimportantregionsforSOCstorageduetothehighsoilorganicmattercontentanddiversevegetationtypes(Liuetal.,2018).Thekarstterrainischaracterizedbysteepslopes,lowsoilfertility,andunstablesoilstructure,whichposeachallengeforsoilconservationandsustainablelanduse(Zhangetal.,2012).TheSOCpoolinslopinglandsismorevulnerabletohumanactivities,whichmayleadtosoilerosion,nutrientloss,anddecreasedSOCstorage(Zhangetal.,2013).Therefore,itisessentialtounderstandthecharacteristicsandcarbonisotopiccompositionoftheSOCpoolinkarstregionstoevaluate
