Introduction TansheepisararebreedofsheepthatisnativetoChina,knownfortheirhigh-qualitywoolandmeat.However,thebreediscurrentlyfacingchallengesintermsoflowproductivity,includinglowreproductiverates.Manyfactors,includinggenetics,nutrition,andenvironmentalconditions,havebeenidentifiedashavinganimpactonreproductiveperformance.Amongthese,nutritionhasbeenwidelyrecognizedasoneofthemostimportantfactorsaffectingsheepreproduction.Theenergyandproteinlevelsindailyrationshavebeenparticularlyhighlightedasthekeynutritionalfactorsinfluencingreproductiveperformance. Inrecentyears,manystudieshavefocusedontherelationshipbetweennutritionalfactorsandreproductiveperformanceinsheep.However,mostofthesestudieshavebeenconductedondomesticsheep,andthereisalackofresearchspecificallyonTansheep.Therefore,thisstudyaimedtoinvestigatetheeffectsofenergyandproteinlevelsindailyrationsonthereproductiveperformanceofTansheepewes. MaterialsandMethods AnimalsandTreatments Atotalof60Tansheepeweswereusedinthisstudy,withanaverageageof2yearsoldandanaverageweightof40kg.Theeweswererandomlydividedintothreegroupsandfedabasaldietsupplementedwithdifferentlevelsofenergyandprotein.Thecontrolgroupwasfedadietwithanenergylevelof10.3MJ/kgandaproteinlevelof11.5%,whiletheothertwogroupswerefeddietswithanenergylevelof11.6MJ/kgandprotei
